Meloxivet 4mg

INDICATIONS

Meloxivet 4 mg is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) useful for the treatment of inflammatory processes in trauma. It also has effective analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity in the treatment of arthritis, muscle strains, and diseases accompanied by pain and inflammation.

SPECIES: Domestic dogs and cats.
DOSAGE

• Dogs.
  • Starting dose: 1 tablet per 20 kg of body weight (0.2 mg/kg of body weight) every 24 hours.
  • Maintenance dose: 1 tablet per 40 kg of body weight (0.1 mg/kg of body weight) every 24 hours.
• Cats:
  • Starting dose: 1 tablet per 13.3 kg of body weight (0.3 mg/kg of body weight) every 24 hours.
  • Maintenance dose: 1 tablet per 40 kg of body weight (0.1 mg/kg of body weight) every 24 hours.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral.

WARNINGS AND/OR RESTRICTIONS

• Do not use in animals hypersensitive to the formula or with hepatic, cardiac, or renal disease.
• Use with caution in dehydrated, hypovolemic, or hypotensive animals.
• Vomiting, diarrhea, and ulceration may occur.
• Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals.
• Not recommended for use in dogs under 6 weeks of age.
• Do not combine with medications that alter hemostasis or cause gastrointestinal ulceration.
• Store in a cool, dry place between 15-30°C and protected from direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Any unused veterinary medicinal product, waste derived from it, and empty containers should be disposed of safely and in accordance with local regulations, avoiding contamination of water sources.
