Amoxin 100mg

INDICATIONS

AMOXIN 100 is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to amoxicillin, such as: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Pasteurella multocida, and Klebsiella spp. The bromhexine present in the formula acts as a mucolytic and expectorant of the respiratory tract in conditions with both acute and chronic bronchial hypersecretion.

SPECIES: Dogs and Cats.

DOSAGE

1 ml per 5 kg of body weight (equivalent to 20 mg/kg of Amoxicillin and 1 mg/kg of Bromhexine Hydrochloride), every 12 hours for 5 days.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

Add boiled and cooled water up to the mark. Shake well before use.

WARNINGS AND/OR RESTRICTIONS

Once mixed, the product can be stored for 7 days at room temperature or 14 days under refrigeration. Do not administer to animals allergic to penicillins. Discontinue use immediately if adverse reactions occur. Do not administer to animals in shock and/or septicemia. Vomiting, anorexia, and diarrhea may occur. Proper handling of antibiotics reduces antimicrobial resistance. Avoid underdosing. Use is recommended based on laboratory diagnosis. Store in a dry, cool place between 15-30°C and protected from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets. All unused veterinary medicinal product, waste derived from it, and empty containers should be disposed of safely and in accordance with local regulations, avoiding contamination of water sources.
